Someone requested I talk about women in Islam. Islam preaches gender equality. We are judged by our hearts and our deeds, not by our genders. Islam was meant to liberate both women and men from sin and oppression. Unfortunately, there are those who disregard the word of Allah in order to hurt people. Violence against women and men is against Islam.
